No need to run, I had some organic fairtrade chocolate.

When did ‘organic’ become synonymous with ‘health’?

Honestly, I’m all for the organic movement, keeping pesticides out of our earth and our bodies is a-okay with me,  but I feel like we’re getting a bit carried away. The term now seems like a go-to solution for all health and environmental woes.

Let’s keep in mind, if you gorge yourself on a big block of organic cheese, even if it’s made from cows that get massages and eat nothing but fine french food, you’ll still be a fat ass.

And as for the world, if everyone tried to eat organic, we’d have about tw0-thirds the amount of food we need, since the yields from organic farming have yet to compete with conventional farming. Which could possibly be a good thing, at least for Mississippi, but we all know who would go without if such a scenario arises. I’ll give you a hint, it starts with an A and ends with a Frica.

So what is a health nut and planet saver to do?

Easy. Put down that organic, biodynamic steak and eat some goddamn vegetables.
