Externalize?

Inspired by my father’s blog, I decided to start one of my own. Not quite sure what I’m going to say yet, hoping that will come. It seems the more I write the more I start to see stories. So, I figured if I build it, they will come. “It” being the web page that WordPress actually built. “They” being the ideas.  If nothing else, having this blog will make me look for stories, and when I look for stories, normal events start to seem more interesting. Even if they need a little embellishment….but hey, no good story teller ever told the truth. Plus I have an awful memory; so writing a few things down is probably a good thing.

Not really sure where this title came from. I tried about 20 others first, but the blogosphere is a crowded place. So then I just started putting in random words, and voila, externalize. I guess it has something to do with getting things out of my head and into the world. Good for my mental sanity and perhaps marginally better for  the world. Ideas and thoughts floating around somewhere in the blogosphere must be somewhat more useful than those floating in the nether regions of my brain, soon to be lost  forever to a Seinfeld quote.
